Our role
DIY PET TRAVEL provides independent travel planning and documentation assistance in partnership with Pet Commute. We do not operate the transportation, issue veterinary certificates, train or certify service dogs, diagnose disabilities, or make airline or government acceptance decisions. Bookings are made with your approval, subject to airline terms and availability.
Service dog assistance
For eligible handlers traveling with task-trained service dogs, assistance includes reviewing route requirements, helping prepare DOT forms, supporting airline or designated third-party portal submissions, reservation coordination, and journey support. The handler must check all information, provide truthful details, and personally sign attestations. We do not sign as the handler or purchase credentials to establish eligibility. Training and behavior remain the handler’s responsibility. Our services are optional; forms and airline disability assistance can be obtained directly without buying our service.
Fees and guarantee
Displayed fees cover our assistance for the planned journey. Service dog first-trip pricing includes the trip fee plus one-time setup; future trip assistance has a separate trip fee. Airfare, airline charges, veterinary care, permits, government charges, supplies, and additional work outside the agreed scope are separate. International work is reviewed individually. If dissatisfied with our assistance, request a refund of 100% of concierge and setup fees paid to us by emailing john@petcommute.com. This guarantee does not reimburse third-party charges or store purchases and does not promise boarding, safety outcomes, or travel without disruptions.
Before paid work begins
We confirm scope and provide a service disclosure through SignWell for review and signature. Sending an inquiry here is not a SignWell signature, airline approval, completed booking, or payment. Airline forms are separate documents signed by the handler.
Your client suitcase and trip sharing
Your client account, pet profiles, uploads, journey details, and messages are stored within DIY Pet Travel’s own workspace. They are not imported from Pet Commute’s backend. Unattached files are accessible to your account and the DIY team. When you attach a file or pet profile to a trip and grant another verified email access, that participant can see that trip’s details, selected pet information, conversation, and trip-attached files. Only grant access to people you intend to include. Adding contact information alone does not grant access or send a message. Flight status is coordinator-maintained unless a live provider is explicitly connected. Add-on requests are not paid purchases.
Signing in with Google
When you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, name, and verified email to create or access your DIY Pet Travel account. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or your Google password. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days; signing out revokes that session. Google sign-in uses Google’s own privacy policy and terms. Existing ChatGPT accounts can connect Google after signing in to their original suitcase. We do not automatically merge accounts based on matching email addresses.
Website traffic measurements
We count aggregate loads of public marketing pages by page, date, and campaign labels. These counts do not store cookies, IP addresses, user IDs, private portal activity, or document views. They are page loads, not unique visitors. Search Console reporting is configured for diypettravel.com as a separate property.
Information and permissions
We use contact and trip details submitted here to review and respond to your request and coordinate agreed services. The owner can access these details in the management desk. Do not enter diagnoses, payment-card numbers, passport numbers, medical records, or airline passwords in the signup form. Necessary document and trainer or veterinary verification is arranged separately, with your authorization. We share required details with selected airlines, their designated form processors, veterinary providers, or SignWell as needed for the authorized service, subject to their own policies. Ask us to correct or delete inquiry data by emailing john@petcommute.com; applicable recordkeeping requirements may affect deletion.
Support and supplies
A coordinator or covering team member supports your planned journey by phone and group text. Accompanying flight or ground help is subject to availability and a separate quote. Store listings are supplier candidates and proposed prices while sourcing is finalized; requests are inquiries rather than paid orders. Leashes, collars, tags, vests, and other gear do not confer service-dog status or public-access rights.
